Bally’s Hotel Las Vegas: Las Vegas Hotels

History
The Bally’s Hotel was originally The MGM Grand opened in 1973 under the ownership of Kirk Kerkorian who owns the current MGM Grand. At the time of opening it was the largest hotel in the world. Currently the hotel boasts 2,814 rooms that are four hundred fifty square feet in size.

Present Day
Currently the hotel is owned by Caesars Entertainment Corporation and is attached to Paris,Paris another Caesars property. The property has shops in the lower floors and on the casino floor has many restaurants and bars. When you walk into the hotel you can feel the elegance that was built into the hotel.
When the hotel was the MGM Grand there was a fire in 1980. Unfortunately there were eighty five guests and employees killed. The hotel was reopened eight months later and shortly thereafter opened a new tower also in 1981. One good thing came out of the fire and that was the requirement for smoke alarms in every hotel room in Las Vegas. Actually the fire also helped in establishing fire alarm systems throughout the world.
Although the hotel is not the equal to many of the current hotels it is still a wonderful place to stay. The location is perfect, right in the middle of center strip. The cost is ideal, the hotel is always clean and the food is great. Actually I used to live in Las Vegas and I met my beautiful wife on line. I sold my place and moved to Fargo, North Dakota. So when we go back we always stay at Bally’s and are never disappointed.

Shows

Bally’s has had a line up of headliner talent to go along with their anchor show Jubilee.  Jubilee is to say the least a spectacular Las Vegas show that is highlighted by the sinking of Titanic on stage and the famous Las Vegas showgirls.  There are other shows that feature showgirls, however, Jubilee is the last show of it’s type left of the old type showgirl spectaculars and I urge you to see it as long as nudity does not offend you.
An elegant hotel is Bally’s Hotel Las Vegas, one of the many Las Vegas Hotels.
